Joseph J. Bulvich, Sr., 78, of Northampton, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2017. Born December 23, 1938 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Carlin) Bulvich. He was the husband of Carol (Donald) Bulvich, with whom he shared over 53 years of marriage.

Joe was employed as a field tech for National Cash Register (NCR), retiring after 30 years. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Walnutport served as Eucharistic Minister and volunteered for many church organizations. He was an avid bowler, golfer, fisherman, Eagles and Phillies fan. He loved being with his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors: wife; son, Joseph J. Bulvich, Jr.; daughters, Carrie, wife of Tim Haines, Sharon, wife of Mark Geroulo; sister, Mary Nocket; grandchildren, Megan Andreucci, Alexa Hirschhorn, Ryan Geroulo, Matthew Geroulo; great-grandson, Chayse Dorcely; very special friends, Jerry Bretzik, Michael Lehrman, Shannon Kacsur and his best fishing buddy, Dick Donald. In addition to his parents, a sister, Betty Wachter preceded Joseph in death.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd., Walnutport. Family and friends may call Sunday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton and Monday 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. in the church.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be presented to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be submitted below.
